Truly and clearly those that die in rebellion against God, Jesus Christ will die in their sin and receive eternal punishment. A simple look at God’s Holy Word makes it clear that individuals will receive different degrees of punishment as a result of the evil they did.
Revelation 20:11-13 speaks of those not in Jesus Christ standing before the Throne of God and being judged according to what they have done in this life.
Matthew 26:24 and Mark 14:21 speak of Judas, the man that betrayed Jesus. The wording is clear that his eternal punishment will be very great, greater than others.
Luke 12:46-48 is a parable clearly speaking of God’s judgement. He who did wrong on purpose will have a greater judgement (punishment) than the ignorant wrong doer.
II Peter 2:20-21 Speaks of a person that had turned to Christ and than turned back into the world. Scripture says, it would have been better if he had never known of Christ, indicating a greater judgement/punishment.
James 3:1 States that leaders among men (leaders in society and the Church) are under a greater judgement. Promoting/legalizing sin will bring a greater judgement/punishment. Teaching false doctrine and changing God’s Holy Word brings a greater judgement.
According to Scripture everyone that dies without their sin being forgiven will receive eternal punishment (Matthew 13:49-50), and for sure the punishment for Judas, Hitler, and Stalin will be greater than most. But we can avoid the punishment of hell completely by turning from our sin (wrong doing) and to God (John 3:16). The Lord God has made a way to Heaven, by sending Jesus Christ pay the price for our sin (Hebrews 9:12). If we turn to Him in true sorrow for our wrong doing (sin), He will turn our life around and give us eternal life.
In the service of Jesus Christ
Revelation 20:11-13 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Matthew 26:24 The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.
Mark 14:21 The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had never been born.
Luke 12:46-48 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers. And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes...
II Peter 2:20-21 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
James 3:1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.
Matthew 13:49-50 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Hebrews 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
