Thank God for the Bible

The  Bible is part of God’s communication to man and is amazing. It’s  message is so simple, a child can understand it. While at the same time,  the Bible is so full of information that no man can totally comprehend  it.

The  39 books of the Old Testament are adopted from the ancient inspired  scrolls of God’s chosen people (Note 1). Jesus quoted from, or spoke of  24 of the Inspired Books from the Old Testament. In total 34 books of  the Inspired Scripture are referenced in the New Testament. These and  the 27 books of the New Testament were given to mankind by God.  The  Word of the Lord is true. (Psalm 119:160, Job 34:12,) 2 Timothy 3:16 All  scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for  doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  No man, religion, minister, or priest are to add to, take from,  or change God’s Word. Any ‘addition to Scripture’, including the  Apocrypha (Note 2), and the Book of Mormon (Note 3), that conflict with  the Inspired 66 books of the Bible should be ignored. Galatians 1:8 But  though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you  than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

Man  uses religion to reach out to God, try to become god, or to control  other people. Sadly for many years, religious elite of the Roman  Catholic Church (Note 4) tried to control people, by keeping God’s Word  from the common people. Thanks be to God, for He sent brave people (many  were killed by the religious elitists of Rome) to translate the Bible  into different languages, so ‘common’ people could read His Holy Word  (The Bible).

Thanks  be to God, for today in America we are still free to own and read God’s  Love Letter to Mankind, the Bible. In that Bible we are told of True  Religion, the love of the Creator for His Creation, forgiveness for our  sins, the sacrificial life and death of Jesus Christ, and the Way to  Heaven.

A  church is useful in teaching us of what God has said, but no church,  organization, or man can get us to Heaven. As Scripture declares; Acts  4:12  Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Only trusting in Jesus Christ can we escape Hell and enter into Heaven.

In the service of Jesus Christ

Note 1 God gave His Word to the Children of Israel. This includes the Jewish people and the Levitical Priesthood.
Note  2 The Apocrypha is a set of ancient scrolls added to the Old Testament  by Christian Orthodox and the Roman Catholic Church and is in some  Bibles. Jesus quoted from the Inspired Scriptures, but He never used the  Apocrypha for quotes or reference. The Apocrypha also has teachings  that disagree with the Inspired Scripture.
Note  3 The Book of Mormon was supposedly given to Joseph Smith by an angel.  Among the false teachings of the Book of Mormon, it teaches that Jesus  is not God, but a created being, equal to Satan. (John 1, Galatians 1:8)
Note 4  During the Inquisition the Roman Catholic Church used every means  possible to keep control of their version of Christianity, including  murder. During those times, the Roman Church was no better than the  radical Muslims of today, that practice ‘convert, submit or die’.

Psalm 119:160  Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.
Job 34:12  Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment.
Revelation  22:18-19  For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the  prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall  add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man  shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall  take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city,  and from the things which are written in this book.
